EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

IFMA has established two autonomous bodies dedicated to advancing the profession of facility management globally by enhancing and sustaining the quality of IFMA credentials:

  1. Credentialing Commission for the Facility Management Professional and Sustainability Professional designations
  2. Certification Commission for the Certified Facility Manager

These commissions are responsible for the independent oversight, validation and development of IFMA’s credential programs, including all related policy decisions. They also oversee the job task analysis process, including the development of competency statements which form the basis of the FM body of knowledge.
